Caskets
Caskets are made in a wide variety of styles and materials. They can be made from inexpensive materials, such as pine or a composite of hardboard and cost very little. Or they can be very expense when made from the finest materials such as bronze, or mahogany. Hardwood caskets with caskets of bronze, copper and steel offer a wide selection and price range to select from. Our Casket Selection Room offers each family privacy to make their selection of choice.

Positioned right inside the casket, the MemoryShelf® feature allows you to place special keepsakes and meaningful mementos on display during the visitation and viewing. This is a simple, subtle way to highlight the interests and personality of your loved one.
Memorial Record™ System
A meaningful way to record vital information and fond farewells, the Memorial Record™ System can be used to enclose private messages and identification, with easy access from the exterior of the casket.
Vaults
A burial vault is a protective outer container that the casketed remains are placed in at the grave and sealed closed. They protect the casketed remains, keep the grave intact, and add beauty to the funeral committal setting. The vault is usually made of two pieces of moulded concrete with a liner bonded to the inside of the top and bottom. Some variations of vaults have been in use throughout the 20th century. Cemeteries started requesting them for functional and economic reasons, primarily to reduce maintenance costs. Other reasons for their use are to reduce the disturbances of existing graves by heavy machinery the cemeteries now use, and to have the use of a grave for double and triple deep burials. In most areas of the country, state or local law does not require that you buy a container to surround the casket in the grave. However, many cemeteries require that you have such a container so that the grave will not sink in. Either a burial vault or a grave liner will satisfy these requirements.

We offer many custom services that allow you to personalize almost every aspect of the funeral, from the printed materials to parts of the service, from the casket or urn to engraving individual sayings or symbols. A variety of Memorial Registry Books, Service Folders and Acknowledgement Cards are available that can reflect the life and interests of the deceased. We offer to every family a free video tribute.
Memory Portraits
Our Memory Portraits value added service offers loved ones a uniquely personalized portrait in the Old World style. From photographs you provide, we transform them into a beautiful portrait of your loved one that resembles fine oil paintings. After receiving your photograph, we create the portrait and have it available overnight if necessary. This is truly a special remembrance item that you will cherish for all time. Collages are also now available as well as different backgrounds which you may provide to us.
Living Memorial Tree Planting Program
When you select a Batesville casket we arrange for a tree seedling to be planted in selected woodlands at no cost to you. This program has been responsible for reforesting many thousands of acres with more than ten million trees. The existence of these trees brings comfort and hope. They ensure that generations to come will know the beauty of a green planet ~ a legacy to honor a life well-lived.
Memorial Video Tribute
A selection of meaningful good quality photos, 25 to 30, is transferred to a DVD along with appropriate background music. The video is then available to be played in the stateroom, at the visitation and sometimes included in the funeral service.
Remembrance Jewelry
We have chosen to partner with a company that creates unique remembrance jewelry to help keep the memory of your loved ones close. These gold and silver treasures are a constant reminder of children, spouses, parents, grandparents, friends, and pets. To replicate prints, the company combines the latest scanning technology with the art of lost wax casting. The result is a finely detailed, one-of-a-kind remembrance that will keep your loved one within touch, forever.
