A native of Bartow, Sarah Ann was the daughter of the late Hubert Franklin Jordan Sr. and Eleanor Slade Jordan. She was a graduate of Wadley High School and Georgia Teachers College. In her retirement years she was involved with the Bartow Schoolhouse Players, Georgia Southern Alumni Association, Bartow UMC, and the Bartow Museum.

Tissy was known for her quick wit and strong will. Her spunky personality had a positive impact on all who knew her. She was an independent thinker and lover of life. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. While her main hobbies included painting and dancing the Carolina shag, her greatest accomplishment was her family. She loved us well!
