Betty May Obituary
Taylor funeral home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Betty Sue May, age 81, of Gibson, who died Monday, May 28, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 31, 2018 in the Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearer’s will be: Kyle May, Scott Hobbs, Stacy Greene, Mark Chalker, Tony Hadden and Danny Benkoski.
A native of Jefferson County, Mrs. May was a daughter of the late Carl McNeal and Florene Hadden McNeal. She was a 1956 graduate of Glascock County High School and worked as a supervisor at Thomson Company until she retired; she was also a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William May, parents, sister Charlene Wilkerson and and is survived by sons and daughter in law Donald May of Gibson, Jeff May of Gibson, Keith May & Barbara of Gibson; daughter Yvonne Pierce of Gibson, grandchildren; Christy Murphy, Brock May, Kyle May, Scott Hobbs, Sam Williams, and Jonathan Downs; special friend, Misty May and several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM til 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, at the funeral home.
Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Gibson is in charge of arrangements.
