Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Lois Black Wilcher Rhodes, age 94, of Highway 171, Grange, who died Sunday Morning August 5, 2018 in the Pruitt Health Care of Old Capital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 8, in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Don Black officiating. Pallbearers will be: Dean Wilcher Jr., John Wilcher, D Wilcher, Brandon Smith, Brandon Wilcher, Dustin Wilcher and Alan York. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery.
A native of Grange, Lois was a daughter of the late David Ozie Black & Fronnie Bell Marsh Black. She was a graduate of Avera High School, a member of Jorden’s Chapel Church of God and was a Beautician and owner of Lois Beauty Shop for 48 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, J.W. Wilcher, Jr. and Carroll Rhodes, brothers, Luther Black, David Black, sister, Lonice Russell and is survived by sons, Dean Wilcher, Sr., of Louisville, Bob & Judi Wilcher of Acworth, grandchildren, Dean Wilcher, Jr., Amy Howard, D Wilcher, Brandon Smith, and Kristy Beam, brothers; Kester and Betty Black, Jimmy and Vannie Black, Don and Lynda Black, sisters; Janelle Shelton, Jean and James McCoy, sister in-law, Betty Calhoun, 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 7, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
