Lorna Scruggs Obituary
Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Lorna Reynolds Scruggs, 98, of Bartow, entered into rest Monday morning December 31, 2018 at her home after an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Hugh Robert Scruggs of Bartow, GA.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 in the Bartow United Methodist Church with Rev. Franklin Sasser officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartow City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Joel Pate, Philip Hickox, Chadley Runyan, Alex Hickox, Hugh Pate, Logan Hunt, Dylan Hunt & Hugh Runyan.
Lorna was born September 23, 1920 in Warren County, GA. a daughter of George Nicholas and Thelma Lee Hayes Reynolds. She graduated from Warrenton High School in 1938 and worked as a supervisor at two shirt factories in Wadley, GA, for many years. However, her greatest accomplishment was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty S. (Robert) Hickox, of Savannah, GA, Vicky L. (Findlay-deceased) Pate, of Wauchula, FL, and Judy A. (Bob) Trapp of Bluffton, SC. She also has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren plus several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, at 1:00 PM at the church.
