Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mrs. Roberta AnnDee Hughes, 70, of Wadley, who passed away Friday morning April 13, 2018.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday April 21, in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hugh Baxter officiating.
Mrs. Hughes was born in Edison, Georgia and was a daughter of the late William Penn Perry and Audrey Pauline Slaughter Perry. She graduated from Albany School of Nursing Albany, Georgia in 1976. She was a lifelong member of Dawson United Methodist Church in Dawson, Georgia, but attended St. John’s United Methodist Church in Wadley. She retired in 1996 from Glendale Nursing Home in Wadley. Mrs. Hughes was an antique doll restoration artist, collector, and article contributor to Doll Reader Magazine.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis Edward Hughes, Jr.; a brother, Marshall Smith and is survived by son and daughter in law Timothy and Georgia Perry of Louisville; sister, Audrey Lane of Swartz Creek, MI.; brother, William Perry of Swartz Creek, MI.; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Hughes family will receive friends immediately following the service Saturday at the Funeral Home.
