Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and services of Mrs. Audrey J. Pierce, age 93 of West 8th Street Louisville who died Wednesday morning October 21, 2020 in the Jefferson Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday October 24, 2020 at Louisville City Cemetery with Rev. Peter Vermeulen. Pallbearers will be John Newberry, Brian Pierce, David Pierce, Jeremy Pierce, Justin Fletcher, and Jackson Fletcher. Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is encouraged.
A native of Dodge County, Audrey was the daughter of the late Carl Johnson and Nellie Johnson. She worked for the Duval County school system as a secretary for many years. She attended Louisville United Methodist Church, and was a former member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, Milton Pierce, son, Henry Pierce, daughter, Nancy Pierce, and survived by, daughter, Margaret (Bill) Newberry of Louisville, son, Charlie (Linda) Pierce of Watkinsville, grandchildren, John (Kelley) Newberry of Louisville, Amy Jones of Louisville, Julie (Steve) Taylor of Gainesville, Brian Pierce of Roswell, David Pierce of Watkinsville, Jeremy Pierce of Greenville, S.C., great grandchildren, Justin, Jackson, Samantha, Josh, Eve, Ava, Sarah Beth, Emma, and Carly, several nieces & nephews.

There will be an open visitation 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Friday October 23, at the funeral home.
