Chris was born in Augusta September 5, 1982. He graduated from Glascock County Consolidated School in 2001. He was a lead fleet technician with Coca-Cola, and the owner of Tractor Commander, LLC. Chris was a faithful member of Mill Creek Baptist Church and loved his Lord and Savior.

Chris loves God, his children and wife. He loved working hard and making connections with everyone he came in contact with. He took pride in everything he did. Chris was strong spiritual guide as father and husband.  He worked fervently to lead people to Christ.  He felt a man was only as good as who they were when no one was watching. This trait shone in all the work he completed. There wasn’t a job he couldn’t accomplish. Every battle was tackled, there wasn’t a thing such as failure. Chris will be greatly missed until the day we join him.

Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ray McGahee and paternal grandparents, Irene Rushing and Thomas Benjamin Rushing, and survived by his wife, Kennon Rushing of Dearing, children, Jamie-Ray Rushing, Ava Rushing, Jackson Rushing, Andi Rushing, Anna Rushing all of Dearing, mother, Donna (Randy) Walden of Dearing, father, Derrell (Jeannie) Rushing of Warrenton, sister, Hollie Rushing of North Augusta, brother, Ryan Walden of Dearing, maternal grandmother, Avis McGahee, step-sister, Brooke Walden, step-brother, Clay Walden, several cousins and many friends.
