Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Dorothy Ann “Junie” Clark, age 84, of Usry Road, Avera who died Wednesday evening January 22, 2020 in the University Hospital Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2020 in the Shepperd Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Gibson with Rev. Corey Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Avera. Pallbearers will be Larry McGraw, Dean Hadden, Tim Adams, Phillip Wheeler, Chris Brooks, Connor White, Hoyt Cole, and Hiram Bobo.
Dorothy was a native of Avera, GA and was the daughter of the late Robert Kitchens and Alice Moats Kitchens Usry. She was a graduate of Glascock County High School, a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Avera.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her father & mother, her husband, Howard Clark, 5 sisters, Frances Inez Kitchens, Ethel Gray Hinton, Bobby Jean Horton, Mary Bessie “Dolly” McGraw, and Grace McGraw Holton. She is survived by her daughters, Mary & Earl Beasley of Avera and Barbara Clark, of Avera 2 grandchildren, Sandy Beasley, and Clint & Brittany Beasley, her great-grandchildren, Morgan Beasley, Cameron Beasley, Avery Beasley, and Baylor Beasley, and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
