Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Frank Murphy, Jr., age 75 of Gibson who died Sunday, April 4, 2021 in his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in the Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Harwell, Rev. Billy Wasden, and Ms. Brooke Stephens officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Williford, Malik Reed, James Stephens, Jr., Timmy Usry, Lee Blair, Michael Jackson, Elijah McCall, Lee Miller, and Greg Blair. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is encouraged. Service can be viewed on the Taylor Funeral Home website at www.taylorfhgibson.com.
A native of Wildwood, FL., Frank was the son of the late Frank Murphy, Sr. and Lessie Eldridge Murphy. Frank was a US Army Veteran and stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He worked for Jefferson EMC as a lineman for 25 years. Frank was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Janette Wells, and survived by his wife, Dianne Murphy of Gibson, daughters, Kristie (James) Stephens of Gibson, Tracy (Lee) Miller of Gibson, Amy Kitchens of Gibson, brother, Bo Murphy of Winter Garden, FL., Johnny Murphy of Winter Garden, FL., sister, Carol (Michael) Jackson of Decatur, TX., grandchildren, Brooke Stephens, Morgan (Malik) Reid, Lauren Bailey, Blair Waller, Murphy Waller, Alyssa Kitchens, Mason Kitchens, great-grandchildren, Addison Bailey, Hayden Bailey, and 1 on the way, several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.
