Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Gaynell Elizabeth McDaniel Lord age, 96 of Bromley Rowe Duluth who died Wednesday night March 8, 2023

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday March 12, 2023, in the Bill Head Funeral Home Lilburn/Tucker Chapel with grandsons Jerry Taylor, David McDaniel, and Brenda Boulas officiating. Burial will be in the Marietta National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, David McDaniel, Jerry Taylor, Chris McDaniel, Freddy McDaniel, Jacky Hair, Tony Hair, Russell McDaniel, Robert Taylor, Keith McCroan.  Service can be viewed on the Taylor Funeral Home website at www.taylorfhlouisville.com

Mrs. Lord was born July 22, 1926, in Spalding County, the youngest of 9 children of Christopher Columbus Davenport & Sophie Cordelia Davis Davenport. For more than 20 years she had worked as a Seamstress with Dillon Manufacturing Medical Supplies. She was a member of Peachtree Road Baptist Church. Gaynell loved to watch old movies and make quilts; she has made a quilt for all of her children and grandchildren and many friends but her greatest past time was spending time with her family.

Mrs. Lord was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Forest Bastin McDaniel, 5 sisters, Lenora (Dolly) Davenport, Dela Louise Johnson, Fannie Mae Davenport, Rheba Zora Byler & Zellie Bea Miller, 3 brothers, Cecil Davenport, Dewey Davenport & Joe Davenport, daughter Sherry Ann Taylor, son Forrest (Trooper) McDaniel, and is survived by her children, Joe & Linda McDaniel of Bethlehem, Dixie Payne, of Nicholson, Rocky McDaniel of Duluth, Ginnie McCroan, of Duluth, & Donnie Lord, of Warner Robins, daughter in-law, Sybil McDaniel of Monroe, 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends 12:00 till 2:00 PM Sunday prior to the services.
