Taylor Funeral Home announces the death and funeral services of Mr. George Stickle, age 85, of Academy Circle, Bartow who died Tuesday evening, November 22, 2022, at his residence. 

Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, November 28, 2022, in the Old Bethel Baptist Church in Bartow with Rev. Larry Fincher and Chaplin Roger Holley               officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in Bartow City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Eric Stickle, Travis Stickle, Shane Stickle, Johnny Davis, Kyle Davis, and Barry Wren, honorary pallbearers are William Hadden, Gary Hughes, Tom Harrison, and Hubert Jordan.

Mr. Stickle was a native of Orange, New Jersey and a son of George Oakley Stickle and Martha Tuttle Stickle and had lived in Bartow for many years.  He was self-employed as an automotive parts salesman until his retirement and was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church in Bartow.

He was predeceased in death by his parents, his son Luke Stickle, and sisters Dorothy Genung and Helen Cioffi and he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Paula Jo Stickle, his daughters Faith Stickle (William Vicain), Joy Wahl (Roger), Grace Smith (Clay), Jessica Powell (Matthew), son Jacob Stickle (Katherine), grandson Kyle Anderson (Brittany), granddaughters Lauren Bedingfield (Josh), Crystal Owens (Kevin), Marilyn Dale (Tyler), Gabrielle Cunningham (Tristen), Logan Davidson, Sara Grace Jones, 15 great grandchildren, sisters Carol Barber, Marjorie Carter, Brother Robert Stickle (Sandy), several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the funeral home.

The family is grateful for the special care from Pruitt Hospice during this time.
