Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and services of Mr. John Marion Livingston, III, age 90, of St. Claire Road Louisville, who died Sunday morning March 29, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.
Private Graveside services will be held for the family in the Louisville City cemetery.
A native of Avera John was the son of the late John Marion Livingston, Jr., and Almarine Dudley Livingston. He was a graduate of Louisville Academy, a U.S. Navy Veteran who served during the Korean War and retired as Superintendent of Gas and Waterworks from the City of Louisville after 40 years of service. He served as a Volunteer on the Louisville Fire Department and was Fire Chief from 1977 to 1987. Mr. Livingston was a Mason and member of Stone Wall Lodge # 98 FandAM. He was a member of the Louisville Lions club, and a long-time member of Providence Baptist Church.
Mr. Livingston was preceded in death by his parents and son, John Marion Livingston, IV, and is survived by his wife of 68 years, Annette Smith Livingston of Louisville, daughter, Peggy Livingston and son in-law, Colin Martin of Atlanta, son and daughter in-law, Ron and Libby Livingston, of Louisville; grandchildren Ron, Jr. and Krissa Livingston, of Louisville, Neal Livingston of Louisville, Galen Martin of Winder, Molly Livingston, of Atlanta, Benjamin and Christine Rambo-Martin of Atlanta, Dustin and Jessica Livingston of Hephzibah, Mackenzie Martin of Milton, Harrison Martin of Atlanta, and Michael Gardner of Augusta; great grandchildren, Jackson, Owen and Kate Martin of Winder, Bella Livingston of Louisville, Ryan and Dean Livingston, of Hephzibah, Alice Rambo-Martin of Atlanta, Logan and Lance Newsome of Louisville, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In keeping with John’s wishes, no flowers please, but memorials in his name may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 13778 Highway 88 West Avera, Georgia 30803 or to the Louisville Volunteer fire department, P.O. Box 527 Louisville, Georgia 30434.
