Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Lucille H. Godowns Lamb, age 77, of Grange Rd in Louisville, who died Friday afternoon July 10, 2020 in the University Hospital Augusta.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Monday July 13, 2020 in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Pendry officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is encouraged.
A native of Davisboro, Lucille was the daughter of the late Lanier Hodges and Polly Clark Hodges. She was a graduate of Washington County High School, was retired from Thermo King, and was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Jack Jones Godowns, her second husband Earl Clarence Lamb of Glascock, and an infant brother Anthony Lanier Hodges Jr. She is survived by daughters, Sandra LaDonna Godowns and Mary Angela Huff; sons, Jack Jones (Donna) Godowns and Randell Scott Godowns all of Louisville, stepson, Jeffery (Susan) Lamb of Wrens, Three sisters Maryann Ellenberg of Hephizabah, Glenda Moore of Mableton, and Grace Williams of Waynesboro, Grandchildren Justin (Stephanie) Huff of Graniteville SC, Chelsea (Phillip) Salter of Louisville, Amber Godowns of Glencoe MN, Dylan Huff of Warner Robins GA, and Josh Godowns of Louisville, Three Great-Grandchildren Hunter, River, and Riley Salter, and many nieces and nephews.
