Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and services of Mr. Michael Dewayne “Mike” Williams, age 66 of Gibson who died Friday afternoon November 13, 2020
Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday November 16, 2020 from the graveside in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gibson with Rev. Jacky Downs officiating. Pallbearers will be Larry Kent, Tony Hadden, Ricky Hadden, Stevie Wood, Alton Mitts & Beaver Mitts.
Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing, masks are required, and other safety precautions be followed.
Mike was a native of Louisville but had lived in Glascock county his entire life. He was a son of Venera Williams and the late Jackson Williams. He retired from Kaolin Chalk plant after many years of service and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father Jackson “Jack Williams and his wife Phillis Williams and is survived by his mother, Venera Williams, of Gibson, daughters, Lindsey Williams of Wrens, and Melissa Williams of Wadley, sisters, Pamela Irby, of Gibson, and Angela Williams of Wrightsville, Gail Horton of Sandersville, brother, Jacky Ray Williams of Gibson, 3 grandchildren several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends following the services Monday at the cemetery.
