Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mr. Murray Hadden, age 81 of Academy Drive Louisville who died Friday evening July 24, 2020 in the Comfort Creek nursing home in Wadley.
A private family service will be held. A celebration of life services will be held 6:00 PM, Saturday, August 1, 2020 in the Helen Clark Memorial Park with Mr. Joe Cheeks and Mr. Tommy New Officiating. Please dress casually and bring a lounge chair. The service may be viewed on the Taylor Funeral Homes Facebook page starting at 5:55 PM. Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is encouraged.
One of five children born to the late Clinton Nathaniel Hadden, and the late Vera Alice Sheppard Hadden. Murray was a native and a lifelong resident of Jefferson County. He served in the Army Nation Guard and was a man of many talents, he had worked for Thermo King Cooperation and was the owner of Hadden Backhoe Service, the Owner of Peachtree Village Apartments, and he was the supervisor of Jefferson County Water Department retiring after more than 40 years of service. Murray enjoyed spending the days at the beach, watching Nascar or just spending time with family & friends. He was a member of Louisville United Methodist Church & Walden’s United Methodist Church and the Louisville Ingles Coffee Club.
Murray was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Wallace Hadden & Fay Hadden and his Father-in-law Roy T. McGahee, and is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Joy McGahee Hadden, of Louisville, Daughters, Deidra Taylor, Leigh Kilpatrick, brother & sister-in-law, Dean & Cathy Hadden of Wrens, sister & brother-in-law, Gloria & Charlie Smith of Augusta, Sister-in-law’s, Annette Hadden, of Avera, & Brenda Hadden of Louisville. Mother-in-law Betty McGahee of Stapleton, Brother-in-law Mike McGahee of Stapleton, His beloved fur baby Precious, several nieces, nephews & cousins.
