Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Ruth Ann Clark, age 54, of Wrens who died Friday Morning August 20, 2021, in the Jefferson Hospital.
A private service for the family will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 27, 2021, in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Louisville, followed by a Graveside service at 12:00 PM in Wrens Memorial Gardens open to anyone wishing to attend. Pallbearers will be Tommy Sheppard, Randy Williams, Joel Clark, Ty McTier, Jace McTier, and Greg Clements.
Because of the family’s respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged during any gathering.
A native of Wrens, Ruth was the daughter of the late Kimmell Paul McTier and Agnes Inglett McTier. She was a 1984 graduate of Thomas Jefferson Academy and Augusta Tech in 1985 with an associate degree in Medical Administration. She was employed at Augusta State University Hospital for 37 years as an Administration Specialist. She was a lifelong member of Wrens Baptist Church where she worked with the youth department and spent many hours working with preteens. She also played the piano and organ for several years. Ruth Ann was a loving daughter, wife, mother, aunt, Sissy, RoRo & Nonnie. Ruth Ann’s greatest pastime was cooking and spending time with her family.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her father, a brother, James McTier, mother-in-law, Sylvia Clements, brother in-law, Mike Clements, and is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Jerry Clark of Wrens, sons, Cameron Clark (Heather) of Avera, Will Clark & Lucy Williams of Wrens, mother, Agnes McTier of Wrens, brother, David McTier (Lucy) of Stapleton, father-in-law, Robert Clements of Louisville, nephews, Ty McTier (Treacy) of Concord, NC., Jace McTier (Rachael) of Stapleton, sister in-law, Beverly Clements of Douglasville, niece, Payton Clements of Douglasville, brother- in-law, Joel Clark (Beverly) of Gainesville, niece, Ansley Clark of Gainesville, nephew, Caden Clark of Gainesville, niece Kimberly Clark of Keysville, nephew Anthony Clark of Waynesboro, grandchildren, Ansley Black of Avera, Carrie Ann Clark of Avera, and many loving friends.
There will be an open visitation on Thursday August 26, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the family being at the funeral home from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
