Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Evelyn Louise McNeely Borders, age 87 of Louisville, Georgia, she passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2017 in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Borders was the daughter of the late William Dewey McNeely and Latisha Funderburg McNeely. She was a graduate of Louisville Academy and was married to Jack Bell Borders for 63 years. As a military spouse for 21 years, she traveled extensively throughout the U. S. and overseas. She was self-employed and operated the Sears catalog agency in Wrens, Ga, for nearly three decades and was a member of Duhart Baptist Church.
Mrs. Borders is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack Borders, and siblings William McNeely, Frank McNeely, Calvin McNeely, Harriet McNeely Henson and Juanita McNeely Gordon.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Louise Galbreath and husband Craig of Hilliard, FL; granddaughter Jacqueline Leigh Koiro and husband David of Yulee, FL, grandson Dylan Craig Galbreath and wife Crystal of St. Mary’s, GA, and great grandsons Michael McGahee and Ryder Galbreath. She is also survived by sisters: Martha Sabo and husband Bob; Billie Farrer and husband James; and Hazel Horsman and husband Ronnie; brothers Talmadge McNeely and wife Jill and Alec McNeely and wife Peggy and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The Borders family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
